Cody Simpson ITIS..vs Justin Bieber FEVER .. The Psychology of the Teen Worshipper.

Here we go folk now we have our local AUSSIE IDOL.. Cody Simpson taking over our teenagers every thought..  Since the Beatles I could never understand this out of control obsession. The sad part today is it doesn't only exist in the teenage world.. but it is where is started.  I did a little research on line on the Psychology of the teen worshipper and this was some interesting info I picked up.

Idol worship exists all over.  Adolescents are influenced by someone they admire – this can be called a type of worship. Role models are not only famous people, but they can be anyone,” she said.
Parents even encourage their kids to have role models as they believe it will significantly influence a child’s future by motivating them to strive for something and keep them on the path to success.
Teenagers are usually attracted by superficial things. Thus, the choice of making singers or movie stars as their idol was understandable.
However, this natural psychology should be kept in check to avoid unhealthy obsessions growing out of control.
Skipping school for a concert, lying to parents about what they are doing, wildly screaming and other behaviours are all pathological signs. Admiration is totally different from fanaticism.
I think it is important for our kids/youth to have idols. Especially if they represent something good and doing good for others. I think that's why Justin Bieber has an older following.. He is a good role model for the kids and I am hoping CODY SIMPSON will be the same..
The one thing we will never be without is a teen idol.
