Cody Simpson ITIS..vs Justin Bieber FEVER .. The Psychology of the Teen Worshipper.

Here we go folk now we have our local AUSSIE IDOL.. Cody Simpson taking over our teenagers every thought..  Since the Beatles I could never understand this out of control obsession. The sad part today is it doesn't only exist in the teenage world.. but it is where is started.  I did a little research on line on the Psychology of the teen worshipper and this was some interesting info I picked up.

Idol worship exists all over.  Adolescents are influenced by someone they admire – this can be called a type of worship. Role models are not only famous people, but they can be anyone,” she said.
Parents even encourage their kids to have role models as they believe it will significantly influence a child’s future by motivating them to strive for something and keep them on the path to success.
Teenagers are usually attracted by superficial things. Thus, the choice of making singers or movie stars as their idol was understandable.
However, this natural psychology should be kept in check to avoid unhealthy obsessions growing out of control.
Skipping school for a concert, lying to parents about what they are doing, wildly screaming and other behaviours are all pathological signs. Admiration is totally different from fanaticism.
I think it is important for our kids/youth to have idols. Especially if they represent something good and doing good for others. I think that's why Justin Bieber has an older following.. He is a good role model for the kids and I am hoping CODY SIMPSON will be the same..
The one thing we will never be without is a teen idol.

Black Mesa ....Game Revolution..The Psychology of a gamer.

I was never one for the gaming world.. until my work buddies turned me onto temple run.. fun.... but I don't usually follow these types of things because I never quite caught on to the attraction.. I recently did some research and found the following.. a new game entitled BLACK MESA.. and who are these gaming people and what makes them tick.....

Today the gaming world was reintroduced to one of their most beloved places to do battle with a total conversion remaking of Half-Life 2 by development group Valve Software. After seven full years in development, this release has been not just given away for free on its own, but given away with a full soundtrack as well. This is the fulfilled promise of the Source engine port of Half-Life as made by the developers all those years ago – if you thought Half-Life: Source was awesome, you’re going to have a heart attack today.
This download was made available earlier today through several portals, the most official of these being the [Black Mesa Source Download Page] as provided by Valve. This page will be your one and only location where tried and true – and trusted – sources for the build can be found. As the game modification is given away for free, you will see some advertisements here and there on the webpage, but the final product will be just as ad-free as your original game was and always has been.
That same page shows you the Black Mesa Trailer that you see here above. This trailer was released earlier this month for those that’ve been following the project for several years – and it’s gotten rave reviews in and of itself. Here with this new product, you’ll see above as well, the game mechanics have remained largely the same (to gamers’ glee) while the storyline and overall scale of the game have been exploded with greatness.
You’ll now be playing as Doctor Gordon Freeman right alongside the original cast of environments and characters you’ve grown fond of from the original Half-Life. What you’ve got here instead of the same product is one made much more visually fantastic and immersive. This full reconstruction of Half-Life uses Source to what the developers describe as its “fullest potential” with enlarged level sizes, art detail, and code features galore.
You’ve also got new maps entirely, new models, new voice actors – save some key heroes, and textures. And again, there’s a whole new soundtrack as well that you can also download for free – be sure to donate to the team though if you’re feeling especially appreciative.
The download of this game does have some requirements, those being:
• A copy of any Source Engine game (as seen here).
• Minimum System Requirements
Software : Windows XP, Vista, or 7
Processor : Pentium 4 3.0 GHz, or AMD processor.
RAM : 1GB (1024 MB)
Graphics Card : Shader Model 2.0 capable, ATI 9600, NVidia 6600 or better.
Sound : DirectX 8.1 compatible.
HDD : 8 GB (Not including the Free Source SDK, installed separately)
• Ideal System Requirements
Software : Windows XP, Vista, or 7
Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or AMD equivalent.
RAM : 1 GB (1024 MB)
Graphics Card : Shader Model 3.0 capable, ATI X1600, NVidia 7600 or better.
Sound : DirectX 9.0c compatible.
HDD : 8 GB (Not including the Free Source SDK, installed separately)
Fun Fact: the Xbox360 controller is supported for this game – use it!
If you have a Mac, you’re out of luck. It’s not likely that any builds other than what’s listed above will be supported, but we’ll certainly keep you up to date on any developments in the future regarding furtherances of this build. They’ve got Portal on the Mac, maybe we can dream!

Psychologists have found that certain personality characteristics are associated with gaming, and may explain the initial attraction. Online gamers, for instance, score higher on traits of openness, conscientiousness, and extraversion than non-players. These traits drive our motivation to learn and allow for flexibility of “training” (i.e., tolerating trial-and-error in order to master a task). Gamers with these traits are therefore not only eager to learn but operate with resilience and perseverance—characteristics that are certainly necessary for killing those pesky Jedi on Coruscant.

Right: Killing. Research findings about video games that contain violent themes have caused much debate within the mental health community. Without question, violent gameplay is associated with negative psychological traits by today’s sociocultural standards. Child studies, for instance, point to increased hostility and aggressive cognitions among youths who play violent video games. But before we pull the plug and assign a therapist we must take a critical perspective. As consumers of science, we are often thrown a chicken-or-egg dilemma; in this version, we are constantly told that gaming and child aggression are intertwined and yet we’re given little evidence for where or how the cycle began—and if there are any third parties involved (parenting, anyone?). Many American youth are exposed to a lot of television violence, for instance, and do not exhibit abnormal aggression—therefore, mere exposure is not sufficient to explain behavioral effects of violent gaming.
A truly understudied area surrounds initial motivation for violent gameplay. What draws a player toward Halo, Mortal Kombat, or Grand Theft Auto?* Here’s the deal: It is unlikely that any one process or trait fully explains entry into virtual violence. Indeed, scientists are beginning to elucidate the complex systems that may predict a person’s attraction to violent gaming. Preliminary research shows that, even though trait aggression plays a role in predicting some preference for violent content, it was the level of competence and autonomy during gameplay that predicted a person’s desire for violent games overall. This finding may explain the high prevalence of gamers—men and women alike—who are bright, self-directed, and competitive. Anything but hostile.

Sen. Jim DeMint .. ON TEACHERS...A Chicago mess...

Sen. Jim DeMint made an apparent joke Friday on the tense labor dispute in Chicago's public school system, using a harsh word to describe those on strike.
"You know, we have had a lot of bad news this week. On my way over, I was reading another story about a distant place where thugs had put 400,000 children out in the streets. And then I realized that was a story about the Chicago teachers strike," DeMint said, prompting laughter from the crowd at the Values Voter Summit, a social-conservative event in Washington, D.C.
It astounds my sensibilities that these politicians use their podiums as speakeasies. They give absolutely no thought to what they are saying and put out a clear message to a nation about accountability. From ROMNEY CAMP TO OBAMA CAMP TO THIS..
They come off as a bunch of uninformed bullies. Do they not understand the repercussions of this behavior? I am sure it worked in HS while you were playing Tight end! But not now.. you traded in your pads for Armani. But I can't even insult the pro football community when we have people like Chris Kluwe writing in support of Brendon Ayanbadejo in a letter supporting gay marriage.

It has just become the norm to shoot off at the mouth and making a funny at the expense of, in this case teachers who spend more time with the kids than their own parents. Do you know how many parents I know that have their children basically weekends and still need the help of a damn NANNY.. PLEASE..

Teachers warrant the utmost respect period.. They are educated, educating and trying to fix the ME ME spoiled, entitled children our parents today create and send off to torment the world... I bless them and ask GOD to keep every teacher in his safe embrace. And I truly hope this man gets his lesson..

TEACHERS THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!

Kathy Bates ... Double Mastectomy ...a great light .. who needs our Light!!

As I settled in to my desk chair I read that Kathy Bates has undergone a double mastectomy. Being diagnosed with breast cancer two weeks ago. I remembered seeing Kathy Bates on Broadway in her debut in 'night mother... OMG. A performance that would solidify my love for the theatre.. and then to have her grace our screens both Film and Television.. lifting my heart and spirit at every turn.

My intention is for anyone who reads this.. to please send her light.. prayer, or  a healing thought.. that she may heal and be cancer free for the rest of her time here.

I had the pleasure of meeting her once and she is gracious, raucous and brilliant.. and continues to be to this very day..

May she be lifted and carried with God's hands.. through this journey and heal with every breath she takes.

Thanks
Kathy .. you are truly loved.

CNET / IPhone 5 and how Technology is affecting our Spiritual Growth

With the newest addition of the IPhone and it's predecessors, technology like us changes at such a fast pace, some of us feel like we just can't keep up, both financially and  or technically. It is very reflective in our daily lives. The questions of our relationship to change, our relationship to money and our willingness to grow and learn get challenged on a global scale with the simple release of a phone. Not to mention the next better thing that comes along, which is very reflective in our need for commitment in relationships and our need to to have the latest "thing".. Self Image.

When  a new product gets released I get very busy.. So when I read on CNET that with IPhone has been released I filled my schedule with things I needed to give time to. Just an FYI I received 4 phone calls for appointments in November. People start to experience of all the above on a totally subconscious level.

And the debate starts. well should I wait for my contract to run out?.. Can I afford it? (Very affordable BTW) And do I really want to learn a new phone right now? OMG.. Dunkin' Donuts was buzzing..

I think we should all take this opportunity to grow with technology on a greater level.  Take the opportunity to change you. Tech equipment is there but its like getting a new pair of pants and not being able to fit in it. Get acquainted with what changes you need to make first. What information you will need to have in order to fit this new product into your life most comfortably. Some people have the time to just stare at their phones and play.. while others are changing the world. Now your life is more complicated than most IPhones. Let's be honest. Make everything be a reflection of who you are.... your own brand. Who are you? Why you do what you do? and Why is it different than the next person? Then buy an IPhone 5 and TELL THE WORLD!!

Funny what a simple phone can do to a planet.  I love technology. I hope it continues to challenge us in ways we have never expected.

Love & Light

Dr. Oz ... 5 Tips to healthier Eating habits.

DR OZ.  LOVE THIS MAN'S ENERGY
I thing Dr. Oz in my research had the best 5 tips to healthier eating habits and habits to reduce your calories...
If you're a fan of the Dr. Oz Show like I am, you'll know thatDr. Oz has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to getting healthy and losing weight. From covering the HCG diet toconcocting delicious smoothies to showcasing the latest workout trends, The Dr. Oz Show almost always teaches you something new. One of the best parts of the show though is Dr. Oz's weight-loss advice. We recently scoured a list of his top weight-loss tips to find the 10 tips that you can incorporate into your routine starting now!
Dr. Oz's Top 5 Easy Diet and Weight-Loss Tips
1. Never eat out of the box or carton. Sure, buying in bulk saves money, but it doesn't do anything for your waistline when your portions get out of whack with the enormous packaging. Instead of eating straight out of the box, pre-portion your snacks into small individual baggies. They're perfect portion control for on the go!
2. Get frisky. Skip dessert and instead have a roll in the hay with your honey. Healthy sex may also help control the amount of food you eat — and it's great exercise, Dr. Oz says.
3. Spice it up. Be sure to stock some red pepper flakes to your pantry. When eaten early in the day, Dr. Oz says that red pepper can reduce the amount of food you consumer later.
4. Become a weekend warrior. Many of us hit the gym and eat right during the week but cut loose on the weekends by indulging in fried foods and trading in workouts for sleep. Be healthy seven days a week by planning your weekend ahead of time. Think about what healthy foods you'll eat and plan your workouts, Dr. Oz says. Also schedule some relaxation time!
5. Have a puree party. Who said healthy foods have to be boring? Puree peaches, pears and berries and spread them on wheat pita for a healthy and delish treat that's perfect for spring and summer! OR ANYTIME!!

Barack Obama or Mitt Romney.. PRIMARY...Elect Sprit!!

This Is a Photo of the President Being Lifted in the Air

by a Powerful Hug

I think most of us can say this election so far has been quite nasty. In the work I do if a person is not promoting service to a community or servicing our government for the good of ALL concerned. Then my mind is pretty much made up.

We all have been given free will. This is the first lesson you learn in any kind of a Christian upbringing. God has bestowed on you free will. The will to choose what is right of wrong for you as an individual. Yes we do choose wrong sometimes but that is part of the lesson.  With every thought there is a manifestation of that thought. CAUSE AND EFFECT.  With every action a reaction. The grace of God in action.

It is God's will that we choose the highest choice for ourselves and the good of all concerned. Most religious leader and fanatical Christians have imposed their belief systems on specific special interest groups. Demanding what is right and what is wrong now playing the role of "God"  as they know it. We no longer according to them have free will. Yet they have imposed their will and their choices on us.

Hence saying that GOD IS A HYPOCRITE. You have free will to choose but not now... because of my agenda....This has made me take several steps back and look at what is important and what will be the best outcome for this country. Change is constant so there will be change like it or not.

If the candidates in question are :

Looking out for the good of all concerned.
Have somewhat of a goal for economic growth without paralyzing certain groups.
Have exercised an open mind, giving our foreign leaders room to express their needs without worrying about an agenda.
Has cultivated relationships with our foreign leaders and not jumping in blindly.
Understand the need for change among our communities and allowing certain rights that would all make us equal in the eyes of our country and the GOD they worship.. being we are all created equally..

With this, my job is to see who comes close the above and who can execute this fairly and openly..
I am not looking for finger pointing. Also this person is not a miracle worker he doesn't have a staff he waves and makes a deficit disappear.. we all know you have to "spend money to make money" if the money has been spent already it will take time to bring a deficit down.. and it is natural for the debt to go up, before the effects of the actions taken can truly benefit us... given any President.

We have 2 great men and one will be President.  And whoever that may be will have my utmost respect as President Obama does now.  I will the best man to win. And I will celebrate the soul God entrusts to run this country.

I hope to see you all at the polls. Stay true to yourself and stop reading the propaganda..

Peace.

Vincent

Chris Kluwe defends Ayanbadejo's Stance on Gay Marriage / NFL.... and why we need to take the lesson!

Chris Kluwe  courageously spoke up for marriage equality in one of the most controversial letters written on the subject.

Editor's note: Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo has voiced his support  for a Maryland ballot initiative that would legalize same-sex marriage in the state. In response, Maryland state delegate Emmett C. Burns, Jr. (D-Baltimore) wrote a letter to Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti urging him to "inhibit such expressions from your employee." In the open letter below, Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe responds to Burns.
Dear Emmett C. Burns, Jr.,
I find it inconceivable that you are an elected official of the United States government. Your vitriolic hatred and bigotry make me ashamed and disgusted to think that you are in any way responsible for shaping policy at any level. The views you espouse neglect to consider several fundamental key points, which I will outline in great detail:
1. As I suspect you have not read the Constitution, I would like to remind you that the very first amendment in this founding document deals with the freedom of speech, particularly the abridgment of said freedom. By using your position as an elected official (when referring to your constituents in order to implicitly threaten the Ravens organization) to argue that the Ravens should silence Brendon Ayanbadejo from voicing his support for same-sex marriage, not only are you clearly violating the First Amendment, but you come across as a narcissistic fromunda stain. What on Earth would possess you to say something so mind-boggingly stupid? It baffles me that a man such as yourself, a man who relies on that same First Amendment to pursue your own religious studies without fear of persecution from the state, could somehow justify stifling another person's right to free speech. To call that "hypocritical" would be to do a disservice to the word. "Mindfuckingly, obscenely hypocritical" starts to approach it a little bit.
2. You wrote, "Many of your fans are opposed to such a view and feel it has no place in a sport that is strictly for pride, entertainment and excitement." Holy fucking shitballs. Did you seriously just say that, as someone who is, according to your Wikipedia page, "deeply involved in government task forces on the legacy of slavery in Maryland"? Have you not heard of Kenny Washington? Jackie Robinson? As recently as 1962 the NFL still had segregation, which was only done away with by brave athletes and coaches daring to speak their mind and do the right thing, and you're going to say that political views have "no place in a sport"? I can't even begin to fathom the cognitive dissonance that must be coursing through your rapidly addled mind right now; the mental gymnastics your brain has to tortuously contort itself through to make such a preposterous statement are surely worthy of an Olympic gold medal (the Russian judge gives you a 10 for "beautiful oppressionism").
3. This is more a personal quibble of mine, but why do you hate freedom? Why do you hate the fact that other people want a chance to live their lives and be happy, even though they may believe in something different from what you believe, or act differently from you? How does gay marriage affect your life in any way, shape, or form? Are you worried that if gay marriage became legal, all of a sudden you'd start thinking about penis? ("Oh shit. Gay marriage just passed. Gotta get me some of that hot dong action!") Will all your friends suddenly turn gay and refuse to come to your Sunday Ticket grill-outs? (Unlikely. Gay people enjoy watching football, too.)
I can assure you that gay people getting married will have zero effect on your life. They won't come into your house and steal your children. They won't magically turn you into a lustful cockmonster. They won't even overthrow the government in an orgy of hedonistic debauchery because all of a sudden they have the same legal rights as the other 90 percent of our population, rights like Social Security benefits, childcare tax credits, family and medical leave to take care of loved ones, and COBRA health care for spouses and children. You know what having these rights will make gay Americans? Full-fledged citizens, just like everyone else, with the freedom to pursue happiness and all that that entails. Do the civil-rights struggles of the past 200 years mean absolutely nothing to you?
In closing, I would like to say that I hope this letter in some small way causes you to reflect upon the magnitude of the colossal foot-in-mouth clusterfuck you so brazenly unleashed on a man whose only crime was speaking out for something he believed in. Best of luck in the next election; I'm fairly certain you might need it.
Sincerely,
Chris Kluwe
P.S. I've also been vocal as hell about the issue of gay marriage, so you can take your "I know of no other NFL player who has done what Mr. Ayanbadejo is doing" and shove it in your closed-minded, totally-lacking-in-empathy pie hole.

This act of courage and conviction truly sends out a positive message to our youth and to the world (that especially is consumed with football)  What he has done for marriage equality and in defense of our constitutional rights is not only noteworthy but truly heroic.. Given the backlash he will have to be subjected to.. He truly is my new hero and I am now a VIKINGS fan!!

His Spirit in his conviction is encouraging. Though some of his anger is displayed  and rightfully so he stood by his beliefs and used his voice and his celebrity for good.. and that my friends is the true example of a man!!

WHILE IN SESSION / VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL OFFER

I come today with a great story. I was referred to a wonderful woman for a reading through Ryan Darrius of the A LIST on Bravo.  He is also one of the top hair stylists in the country. She has given me permission to tell this story.

When she called she specifically told me she wanted to see me for my MEDIUM capabilities and being the XXL I am I said why not..

As soon as this request was made the next day. My house was host to her deceased husband. A sweet gentle man exuding clarified energy. He communicated as they do about their son. When I arrived at her home, upon entry I spoke of her husband and son's names. Impressed she ran to her pictures which were distributed throughout the house and pointed out the men I named.

Her husband crossed over a while back. During session he made it clear he wanted his wife to go away to have a better handle on her self and her needs and to bring joy back into her life on a greater level. She mentioned LA and I said no he wants you to go abroad. She looked at me with reservation, so I asked where did you go with him... She replied LONDON. His energy glowed at the suggestion of London so I said he wants you to go to London.. Still with reservation .. THE DOORBELL RINGS and I asked her if she was expecting anyone.. her reply was no maybe the mailman but he seldom rings the bell.. on her return she had a DHL envelope in her hand so as I continue the session as she is opening it, and completely detached from her activity throws a book on the coffee table and says "OH, it's just my PASSPORT." I look at her and said isn't it a little convenient I told you to go to London and your passport just appeared at your door? Her reply was yeah thats a little weird isn't it.. and she says "Oh and it's my BRITISH PASSPORT" Well needless to say she has already referred me. But the unwillingness to go away.. detached her from the obvious.

We are given signs several times within a day.. and they go completely overlooked. Be aware of your needs and raise your awareness to what's surrounds you that day...What people are saying to you or where you detour.... You will come to find that there are no mistakes and everything everything happens for a reason.

Peace to all of you,

YOUR STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN!
